My newest project,a little slow going because of the poor weather...here she is a '96 Blazer 4.3,auto,2wd. Currently has a low end knock, with several broke/missing parts under the hood from previous half hearted attempts to fix her from the previous owner.

And her donor truck:

'97 Hombre Base,2.2,5speed manual,2wd. currently has a blown rear seal,low oil pressure,internal engine rattle.

Thanks man. I've wanted to do a 2.2,5speed blazer for some time. still need a few more misc. parts,as well as a lot of work ahaid of me...hopefully everyone is wrong, and the truck will be drivable when done, lol.

If the weather would stay reliable,I could get more done!

It seems I have a lot more work ahead of me then I thought...

No inspection plate...missing?

Ground pinched in between bell housing.

Starter bolt missing?

Positive battery cable burnt on manifold...it's supposed to go through the hole in the mount, not over it.

Bolt isn't missing!! It's broke off in the block!

Never seen fuel lines like these on a second gen,lol

Ready...

Yank.

Here it is..

Head gasket leak

Pilot bushing was half installed, and fell out when I pulled the trans

Issues!!! frame differences!!!!

S10

Blazer

I guess I gotta cut these perches off the frame, and drill?

So these will bolt up?

that is all for now......

Yeah, it's kind of a bummer but at least you're finally learning something new about the trucks. lol

no doubt, just when you think you've seen it all...lol. I still don't believe that blazers engines "sit 2" higher" as stated elsewhere. I'm pretty sure the V6 trucks have bolt on adapters instead of welded on like a blazer. I have two 2wd 4.3 trucks at my dad's house...I'm gonna look&take pics next time I'm there.

anyways,

Hombre:

Going to need its pedals too..

Blazer:

all that for this...top plug hombre, lower plug blazer.this is the connector that plugs into to the engine harness.it sits above the brake booster.

notice the two purple wires..they come from the clutch safety switch, plug into to engine harness, eventually end up at the starter relay mounted to the firewall.

I should have the harness ready to go back into the blazer today. I still have to drill the holes for the clutch master&pedal.

Just like a 98&up everything is pre marked.

Should probably swap over that hombre front end and hood while you're at it.

Lol.

I do not like the hombre's front end at all.also I already stacked it in the scrap trailer too.

Yes,my cat has no tail either,lol. he's a Manx.

One of his last outdoor adventures,he was shot yesterday with a small caliber pistol or rifle by someone in my subdivision. he's still alive, and recovering. We've decided to make him a house cat for his own safety.i lost my dog the same way,but he was instantly KIA with a center mass hit, luckily Scythe had a clean in&out from behind his shoulder/out under his front leg,He managed to make it to my front door, and I was able to stop him from bleeding out with a field kit.
