The noise is coming from under the drivers side dash. It's kind of a whirring or wizzing noise. It does it almost all the time. It's just loud enough to be annoying. It wouldn't bother me but it just doesn't seem like a normal interior noise that you would expect. At first I thought it might have something to do with the V4 mode but it does it all the time. Almost sounds like its coming from the brake booster or something. I'll investigate it a little better tomorrow but was just wondering has anybody else had this issue.

goin broke but N style

does the hvac vac line enter the cab in that area or is it even vac operated anymore.

if you have vac brakes, plug the booster line and go for a drive. if its ogne, than you need a brk booster. Just an idea.

Not sure if there are any vac lines in the area or not still haven't checked it out further I'll try to get a video of it. I noticed today it's only when your in the accelerator if you let off it doesn't do it. It also stops while making a turn even if your still in the accelerator. It sounds like a glade plug in fan. I know that's random but my wife has them all over the house and that's the first thing I thought of when I heard it.

I checked but there weren't any glade plug ins under there.

Alright I took several videos today. Some driving some not. The driving ones you can't distinguish the sound I'm hearing from static so I won't post them. This is the best out of the ones I took today.

Vacuum leak? - YouTube

From inside it does sound like a vacuum leak but under the hood it halfway sounds like the belt is making the noise but also good be coming from the intake manifold.

its kinda hard to make out.

I just did a quick google search and several have complained about this "noise". noone has posted an anser to the question. A few were 07 and they said it has done it since day 1.

Yeah I was afraid of that. I searched and didn't come up with anything lol.

It has just over 70k. Im starting to think its just a noise the truck makes. Lol

UPDATE: first off let me just go ahead and say I'm a moron.

The truck has a 2" rough country level on it. This increases the angles of the cv's. Not much at all but it does increase them. Anyway, the sound I've been hearing is just the boots covering the cv joints rubbing against themselves.

It only makes noise on the driver side though and seems to only be coming from the joint leading into the front diff. Soooo yeah. I had already forgotten about the noise but I do think it's odd that's the only boot that makes any noise.
