Been working on the topper intermittently, filling all the holes, then going to paint it and trade it off for a shorter one.

hmm bi-annual update.

Sold topper, bought new one from DeathPehonix99 on my trip to my parents.

Bought Dana 30 for SAS.

Started to rebuild Dana 30

Found a better deal

Scrapped the Dana 30 (and 830lbs of other scrap)

Stearted tearing new axles apart to rebuild.

Changed my Ignition switch

Continued working on the axles

Thats about up to date.

For those who have no idea what is going on, its a Dana 44HP and a Dana 60ff 8 lug, geared in 4.10 that are to be accompanied by some 35" rubber.

You might want to think about 4.56 or 5.13 gears bud. That's a lot of extra mass plus a much larger than stock tire size. Even on the HD diesels a 37 is grounds to step up to a 4.56 set to ease strain on the drive train.

At the same time, these are already 4.10's and most HD Diesels come factory with 3.73's so I think these may be fine on a Sonoma with 35's

I'm not sure if you understand the reasoning for actually changing the gear ratio.
