My theory is a burst water bed at some point. The plywood subfloor was delaminating and getting spongy so they threw some Luan board over it. I Ripped it all out and replaced it with 3/4 tongue and groove OSB glued and screwed down. Nice and solid now.

There are 11 fruit trees, a mulberry tree, black berries, and grapes on the property. And where there are fruit trees, there are deer. My yard is going to be DELICIOUS.

Weekly cuts would cost a shitload for property that size if you hired a company to do it.

His 8N should handle a 3 point finish mower nicely. My grandad used his 6 cylinder Funk Conversion 9N to brush hog with and I think he used his finish mower with it a few times before he got sick

I have a lot of trees and not even 2 acres. My case 446 is about ideal. The ford would just make a mess of the yard and cost more time in trim than it would save mowing, and I wouldn't get the pretty stripes. A zero turn would be even better though.

Its been awhile, but since we sold the old place and bought this new place. I'm looking for a new lawnmower. Mines been used hard and put away wet many times. Its due for some refresh and would keep going. However the wife wants to mow, and I know in a couple years the little guy will be pushing, I figure its best to get something new that she will enjoy.

What do you guy's think. I was looking at Husqvarna, but guy at local dixion shop was trying to sell me a Toro, which is a bit out of my price range. But looking for some input.

My old one was a MTD with a briggs motor that has done its time, and I'm not getting rid of it, will be a backup if the new one breaks down and has to go out for warranty, or even just hey need to get this done tag team the yard.

Just looking for some input. I don't like the MTD stuff since its now mostly plastic and toss away I want something that will last atleast 10years if not more(and I sure hope more).

And I just seen that briggs has come out with some new marketing on their engines that they dont need to have an oil change ever, and the est life is 12yrs without. I know many that dont service their machines ever but really don't add to that neglect.

But I digress, what all you running? Jake, Mo, anyone>?

I picked up the Toro awd mower. It's going back, spitting oil out the muffler and fogging the neighborhood along with engine noise. Home Depot is replacing it so let's see what round 2 brings.

Well Round 2 is better. Doesn't smoke, seems to be much better. Decided if anything else with this thing its going into a Toro repair shop for its warranty work, I do seem to like it.

The wife is unsure about it yet. She's never used a self propelled mower before, so she is very uneasy about it.

I do like the personal pace system, and man this thing can move and cut at the same time.

I redid my mudroom, moved my washer and dryer upstairs and built some lockers. I'll have to get some pics, I also did the floor with high school bleachers from the 60's that I scored.

Im working on a bathroom remodel that has been a treat. Hopefully will get it done this spring. Then i have to do bathroom #2, but that will be easier, no tile in that one and easy to access plumbing from basement.
